Effect of Different Desensitizers on Edge Sealing of Root Caries
objective:To investigate the effect of different desensitizers on the edge sealing of root caries. Methods:A total of 90 premolars were collected and cavities were prepared on the root surface of the premolars. All premolars were filled and repaired with flow resin. The 90 premolars were randomly divided into Grouma group(30),DMG group(30)and control group(30)according to the use of different desensitizing agents.Among them,Grumar group was treated with Grumar desensitizing agent to treat root dentin surface before flow resin filling and repair,DMG group was treated with DMG desensitizing agent to treat root dentin surface before flow resin filling and repair, and the dentin surface of control group was treated without any treatment. After cold and hot cycle test,2%methylene blue staining and stereomicroscopy were used to observe the microleakage of dye solution at the edge of the premolars in each group. Results:Among the Grouma group,DMG group and control group, the proportion of no leakage in Grouma group was relatively higher, and Grouma group was better than DMG group and control group(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance between DMG group and control group.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)was used to detect the gap widths between the filling body and dental tissue in Gruma group,DMG group and control group, respectively, which were(0.36±0.03)μm,(0.48±0.05)μm and(0.51±0.08)μm.The gap distances in Gruma group were smaller than those in DMG group and control group(t=11.450,t=14.375,P<0.05).Variance analysis showed that,The gap distance of the three groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:The microleakage of root dentin after surface treatment with Gruma desensitizing agent is relatively small, and Gruma de-sensitizing agent has a good application effect.
