Strategies for the Protection and Reuse of Traditional Villages and Towns in Guangxi from the Perspective of Living Conservation:Taking Liutang Town in Guilin as an example
Traditional villages and towns are a unique cultural phenomenon in China.Through long-term interaction between natural environment and social history,they have condensed rich material and intangible cultural heritage,forming unique village landscapes and lifestyles.However,with the rapid development of urbanization and modernization in China,traditional villages and towns are facing enormous challenges,local customs and cultural landscapes are constantly changing,and village and town culture is also facing the risk of withering and disappearing.Taking Liutang Town in Guilin City as an example,this article introduces the concept of active protection and proposes protection and reuse strategies from four aspects:space,culture,industry,and population.These strategies include activating the spatial environment,transforming protection concepts,improving industrial mechanisms,and multi-party participation in co construction,in order to achieve the revitalization and development of Liutang Town.It is hoped to provide feasible guidance for the development of traditional villages and towns in Guangxi region.
