Research on Furniture Design Aesthetics under the Differences in Eastern and Western Design Philosophies
Furniture is not only a necessity in daily life,but also a cultural symbol in human society.Differences in aesthetic ideas,lifestyles,cultural heritage,and etiquette requirements have created different characteristics of Chinese and Western furniture,reflecting the differences between the East and the West in terms of geography and aesthetics.Based on the differences in Chinese and Western aesthetic design ideas,this article compares and analyzes the shapes of Chinese and Western furniture,summarizes the similarities and differences in their designs,and explores the reasons for these differences.Through analysis and summarization,it provides a development direction and theoretical basis for contemporary Chinese furniture design.
