Student and Teacher Participatory University Campus Environment Design
Currently, the prevailing approach in university campus environmental design follows a"top-down"model with limited involvement from faculty and students, leading to underutilization of certain campus spaces. To enhance their utilization efficiency and increase faculty of student identification and satisfaction with the campus environment, this paper, based on the theory of public participation, proposes plans and principles for faculty and student involvement in design. In design practice,the"non-contact anonymous survey"method is employed to collect faculty and student needs, summarize key information, and initiate design processes. This method ensures sustained and in-depth involvement of faculty and students, resulting in design proposals that satisfy them after two iterations. The aim is to explore new perspectives in university campus environmental design and provide reference for the construction or renovation of campus environments.
