The Expression of Landscape Narrative in Industrial Residential Area Sites:Taking Shenyang Tiexi District Workers'Village as an Example
As the central urban area of Shenyang City,Tiexi District has a long history and a prosperous industrial culture,with its worker village communities being hailed as the first largest scale worker settlement area in China.However,it is currently facing various issues such as the transformation of industrial residential areas and insufficient public activity spaces.How to renovate and transform based on the existing foundation of worker villages has become a pressing issue.This study aims to deeply explore the development context of Tiexi District's worker villages from the perspective of landscape narrative,hoping to achieve the protection of industrial relics and the optimization of the environment.Landscape narrative conveys information through landscapes as carriers,establishing a connection between the site and users through narrative forms to evoke users'cognition and memories of the site.Taking Tiexi worker village as an example,utilizing spatial narrative in industrial residential area landscape design,the industrial and historical value of the worker village is narrated,making it a culturally continuous and revitalized landscape.
