Spatial forms of Traditional Villages Based on Space Syntax and GIS:Taking Laochai Village as an Example
This paper takes Lao Che Village,a traditional minority village in Xiangxi area of Hunan Province,as the research object to study its village spatial form, aiming to provide valuable reference for the protection and utilization of landscape elements, traditional architecture and other internal spatial elements of the village.Based on the field investigation of Laochai Village,a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the study area was carried out from the perspectives of global integration degree, comprehensibility degree, average nearest neighbor analysis and kernel density by combining space syntax and ArcGIS spatial analysis technology. The results show that:(1)The overall spatial form of Laocai Village belongs to the aggregation type, and the village space presents the layout characteristics of"one belt and multiple points".(2)The overall integration degree of Laochai Village is not high, the accessibility is general, and the spatial internal penetration ability is insufficient, but there are still few areas in the village with high integration degree.(3)The comprehensibility value of the village is low, which leads to the poor perception ability of the users of the village spatial information. Finally, according to the analysis results, the relevant spatial optimization measures are proposed to optimize the village road network system, strengthen the protection of the village spatial ecological environment system and the protection and transformation of traditional buildings.
