A Study on the Renovation Design of Public Space in Old Communities from the Perspective of Suitable Aging:Taking the Peaceful and Beautiful Community in Xiangtan City
In China,the aging problem is becoming increasingly serious.Most elderly people live in old communities in cities and towns.However,the physical environment of these communities has many problems that are not conducive to the life of the elderly,such as the aging of buildings and the dilapidated public space.Based on this background,this paper takes the peaceful and beautiful community of Xiangtan City as the research object,takes the behavior habits and emotional needs of the elderly as the starting point,and through interviews and field investigations,carries out age-appropriate transformation design from three aspects:optimization and upgrading of old buildings,improvement and transformation of landscape environment,and implantation of culture to highlight community characteristics,in an attempt to provide a safe and comfortable living environment for the elderly.
