A Narrative Study of Cultural and Creative Products Based on Lacquerware from the Warring States,Qin and Han Periods in Chu:Taking the Design of a Make-up Bag as an Example
Taking the lacquerware daily utensils in Chu during the Warring States,Qin and Han Dynasties as the object, the narrative design method and practice of its cultural and creative products are discussed.Combined with the research and analysis of the kernel and content of cultural and creative products and narrative design,it is proposed that the narrative design of cultural and creative products be divided into two major components:artistic feature analysis and design practice. We collect samples of daily lacquer ware from the Warring States,Qin,Han and Chu regions, and analyses and study them from three aspects, namely, craftsmanship, shape and ornamentation,by means of the image research method, field research method and literature research method. The analyses and researches result in the characteristics of exquisite and complicated craftsmanship,human-machine-applicable dimensions, and abstract and contrasting decorative patterns.Taking narrative design as an entry point,it is proposed that the practice of cultural and creative product design is divided into four parts:pre-study of cultural and creative products, determination of narrative objects, construction of narrative structure, and transformation of narrative language.Taking the design of outdoor make-up bag as an example,we take the Hanbok enthusiasts, who are mainly women,as the target users, and let the interaction behavior between users and products become the main form of storytelling to achieve the narrative purpose..
