This paper takes the picture books of ancient Chinese myths and legends as the research object,relies on the ethnic cultural characteristics of Jianghua Yao nationality,selects text materials,and combines the theory of story economics to deeply explore and practice the creative thinking,text creation,graphic creation and layout design of picture books.In the process of creation,the six methods of Shaikh are used as painting guidance,and the charm of traditional Chinese writing style is cleverly combined with the style of modern illustration.The design concept aims to complement each other through storytelling and visual perception,presenting the uniqueness and historical value of Yao myths and legends,and providing a window into the cultural heritage of the Yao people for children and young people.These picture books not only show readers the fairy tales of Yao legends,but also promote the living inheritance and protection of historical culture.
