从"万物"到"万象"——人类技术革命推动的符号涌现

摘要
回顾符号学理论发展历史,人类符号在技术革命期间往往呈现出阶段性爆发的特征,反映出符号作为沟通和认知工具的重要性.文章从产业经济学视角出发,通过历时性研究方法梳理人类重大技术革命和期间涌现的符号群的关系,发现符号不仅用来表达意义,更是人类主观认知和管理的手段,是人类协调各事物所需信息而发明的管理方法.具体而言,符号是"人"认识、传播技术的载体,每当新技术出现并逐渐取代旧有技术时,新的符号形式和技术结构应运而生,以适应新的需求和社会环境.这种符号涌现促进了技术创新的接受度,缓解了新旧技术革命间的矛盾,为人与"万物"间符号"万象"的形成提供可能.
Abstract
Looking back at the history of the development of semiotics theory,it can be seen that human symbols tend to break out in stages during the technological revolution,which reflects the importance of symbols as communication and cognitive tools.From the perspective of industrial economics,through diachronic research method,this paper sorts out the relationship between the major technological revolution of human beings and the symbol groups emerging during it,and finds that symbols are not only used to express meaning,but also a means of human subjective cognition and management,and a management method invented by human beings to coordinate the information needed for various things.Specifically,symbol is the carrier of"people"to understand and disseminate technology.Whenever new technology appears and gradually replaces old technology,new symbol forms and technical structures emerge to adapt to the new needs and social environment.This kind of symbol emergence promotes the acceptance of technological innovation,alleviates the contradiction between the old and the new technological revolution,and provides the possibility for the formation of the symbol"Vientiane"between man and"everything".
