A Study on the"Eight Hook"Pattern of Xiangxi Xilan Kapu
Tujia Xilankap was selected into the first batch of China's intangible cultural heritage list in 2006,and its decorative history can be traced back to the ancient Ba people more than 3,000 years ago,among which the most distinctive marks.This paper takes the"eight hooks"pattern as the research object,excavates the Chinese traditional auspicious culture behind its origin,divides and interprets the evolution of the existing patterns of"eight hooks",and concludes that the evolution of the patterns is closely related to the growing needs of Tujia people for a better life.The"eight hook"pattern represents not only the unique Tujia culture and values,but also the concentrated embodiment of totem worship,nature worship,reproductive worship and auspicious worship,and the Tujia people's persistence and inheritance of national culture.
