This paper is committed to exploring the way to integrate the unique Hakka marriage customs culture with modern furniture design,taking the six rituals of Hakka marriage customs as the core content of the research,comprehensively using literature analysis and field investigation,systematically combing and analyzing the relevant historical data and existing practices.Based on the theoretical framework of shape grammar of the six rituals of Hakka marriage(Proposal,Frequent,Divination,Betrothal,Time Booking,Wedding),the cultural gene map is constructed,and its potential design elements are explored deeply through seven factors,such as color factor,pattern factor and language factor.At the same time,questionnaire survey and analytic hierarchy process are adopted to scientifically screen and analyze the influence factors,and a unique Hakka wedding style armchair is designed,which provides clear direction and strategic support for modern furniture design,and promotes the innovative application of Hakka wedding style culture in modern furniture design.
