Shakespeare's Richard Ⅱ has many sources of material.According to his purpose,Shakespeare selectively arranged and used relevant historical materials,carrying out multi-leveled portrayal and shading treatment of the main characters,highlight-ing the emotional power of the characters,constructing a grand imagination space,and creating a great moral and political feast.The novel adaptation of historical materials highlights the author's cognition and control of emotional power,as well as his serious consideration of kingship political issues,such as the virtue of kings and the relationship between kings and sub-jects.It also expresses his negation of arrogation and his desire for a powerful monarch and country.
