On the Discipline Construction of International Chinese Language Education from the Perspective of Educational Linguistics
The establishment of the professional doctoral degree in International Chinese Language Education(ICLE)marks that the development of ICLE has entered a new stage.The construction of this discipline deserves further discussions.However,cur-rent research suffers from lack of holistic view on the disciplinary planning,a vague understanding of the attribute arid categori-zation of the discipline,and lack of awareness of problems and paths in the development of the discipline.Therefore,it is ur-gent to explore the development of ICLE from a new perspective.As one of the emerging cross-disciplines,Educational Lin-guistics may offer theoretical and methodological insights for the construction of ICLE.Through the lens of educational linguis-tics,the construction of the discipline of ICLE in the new era should adhere to policy orientation and problem orientation,adopt transdisciplinary research paradigms,integrate knowledge from different disciplines,and establish its independent disciplinary status,so as to contribute to the development of ICLE.
