Analysis and Improvement Strategies for the Phenomenon of University Teachers Violating Professional Conduct:A Perspective from Cases Exposed by the Ministry of Education
In order to further strengthen the construction of teachers'ethics and style,the Ministry of Education issued and imple-mented the"Ten Norms for Professional Conduct of University Teachers in the New Era"on November 8,2018,requiring all local schools to seriously implement it,strengthen investigation and punishment,and publicly report violations.From April 2019 to August 2023,the Ministry of Education has publicly exposed 35 typical cases of violating the Ten Norms for Profes-sional Conduct of University Teachers,which involve individual,organizational,and social levels.The behaviors in these cases not only tarnish the reputation of the school,infringe on the rights and interests of students,and disrupt the academic ecology,but also erode the responsibilities and missions of universities.In response to these issues,it is necessary to further study and implement the"Ten Norms for Professional Behavior of College Teachers in the New Era",and take preventive and improve-ment measures such as strengthening school culture construction,improving the school psychological service system,improve the mechanism for complaints,reporting and appeals,promoting joint education between home,school,and society,strength-ening legal construction,and strictly enforcing the law.
