The Landsat5 remote sensing images in 2000 and 2010,as well as the Landsat8 remote sensing image in 2020,were selected for land supervision classification,mapping,and calculation of the built-up area in Nanyang city.Subsequently,the spatial-temporal characteristics of the expansion of the built-up area from 2000 to 2020 were analyzed in two dimensions:expansion speed and expansion intensity.The spatial-temporal characteristics of the expansion of the built-up area in Nanyang City are obtained.The factors that influence the spatial-temporal characteristics of the expansion of the built-up area in Nanyang City include policy factors,the influence of terrain and elevation,economic factors,and the construction of transportation and other infrastructure.
