After theore tical reflection on the rationality of goal setting,it is evident that there are several main issues with current practices.Insufficient attention has been given to the psychological dimension of children in setting physical and mental preparation goals.The life preparation goals exceed children's general development standard.Cultivation of children's interpersonal skills has been stressed inadequately in social preparation goals.Learning preparation goals for kindergarten and primary school have been unclear.Therefore,it is imperative to prioritize children's smooth psychological transition from kindergarten to primary school.Life preparation goals should be set according to with the general development level of children.The cultivation of children's ability to handle peer relationships effectively should be emphasized,and diverse opportunities for understanding and experiencing primary school life be provided.
