The Holistic Practice Logic and Operating Mechanism of Modern Urban Social Governance Based on the Practice of Two Cities in Fujian Province
City is an important hub of national governance.How to explore a modern urban social governance mechanism with Chinese characteristics at the current stage has become an important proposition for enhancing the governance capacity of urban areas.Based on the case study of urban social governance in two cities of Fujian province,it finds that urban social governance aims to achieve the modernization of the governance system and capabilities,and its practical logic includes three key dimensions:governance objectives,governance subjects,and governance strategies.In the further exploration of the practical logic,three holistic characteristics of the modernization of urban social governance were identified as integration,coordination,and trust.Therefore,based on the dialogue between theory and practice,this study constructed a holistic urban social governance operating mechanism,which includes playing the role of political guidance in the integration mechanism,forming a people-oriented coordination mechanism,and improving the trust mechanism in the governance process.This mechanism can promote the effective integration of governance subjects and elements and form a strong synergy,thus maximize the efficiency of urban social governance.
