Farmers'Income Growth and Income Distribution Effect under Digital Governance
To achieve common prosperity should balance the dual goals of"development"and "sharing".Digital technology provides support for rural governance transformation. An empirical analysis using data from the China Rural Revitalization Survey(CRRS)concludes that farmers'participation in digital gov-ernance has an income-growth effect, which effectively raises their income levels and thus achieves the "development"goal required for common prosperity. Both the quantile regression and the regression results of the re-centering impact function show that farmers'participation in digital governance has an income distribution effect, which can reduce the income gap and achieve the "sharing"goal required by common prosperity. The impact mechanism test shows that farmers'participation in digital governance will signifi-cantly improve their ability to obtain information.Meanwhile, participation in digital governance has a more significant effect on the income empowerment of groups with lower social capital.
