Effects of Slow-released Urea on Dry Matter and Yield of Potato under Plastic Film Mulching Condition
In order to provide the theoretical basis and technical guidance for reasonable fertilization of potato in the dryland region of Qinghai province, the effects of different types of urea and its combinations with phosphorus and potassium fertilizers on the biomass accumulation and yield of potato were studied under plastic film mulching condition. The potato variety Xiazhai 65 was taken as experimental material, and 8 fertilization treatments were set up:Treatment 1 (CK),Treatment 2 (OPT1-K),Treatment 3(OPT1-P),Treatment 4 (OPT1-N),Treatment 5 (OPT1),Treatment 6 (OPT2),Treatment 7 (OPT) and Treatment 8 (FP).The results showed that, with the proceeding of growth process, the dry matter of potato increased gradually from seedling stage to enlarging stage. The biomass grew slowly from seedling to flowering stage, but it grew quickly from flowering to enlarging stage. At enlarging stage, the dry matter per plant was 42.39%,34.04% and 60.85% higher in OPT1 than in CK,OPT1-N and OPT,respectively. And the dry matter of stem and leaves was also higher in OPT1 than in normal Urea and U80 Urea. This suggested that the slow-released urea had a delayed effect on the nitrogen need of potato at late growth period,so it had a certain yield-increasing effect.
