Urban Land Use Efficiency and Influencing Factors of Urban Agglomeration in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River——Based on Undesirable Super-Efficiency SBM Model and Spatial Econometric Analysis
This paper takes 36 prefecture-level cities in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River as the research object.Based on the statistical data from 2000 to 2019,this paper uses the undesirable super-efficiency SBM model to calculate and e-valuate the urban land use efficiency comprehensively, efficiency decomposition of the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River, and constructs the spatial Durbin model to analyze the influencing factors. The results showed that:There was no regional inter-active development in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River with demonstrations of the characteristics of land use efficiency.Hubei was way ahead with agglomeration of its regions among three provinces, while Hunan and Jiangxi developed alone with lack of agglomeration inside and linkage with Hubei and its surrounding areas. With the spatial Durbin econometric model dem-onstration,the regional development influencing factors with less spillover promoted the land use efficiency the most.On the contrary, the factors with strong regional spillover did not play a leading role in improving the land use efficiency of the region,in which reflected indirectly the facts of poor inter-provincial factors mobility.Land use efficiency was highly self-reinforcing,on which efficient land use will further promote its use efficiency.
