Top Level Design and Role Reshaping:Iterative Paths for High-quality Development of Academic Journals in Universities
As an important component of the academic community,high-quality academic journals are an important en-gine to promote the construction of"Double First Class"in universities.However,under the background of the"Double First Class"construction,the high-quality development of academic journals in universities is facing difficulties.Among them,the top-level institutional design of the national"Double First Class"construction does not pay enough attention to the high-quality development of academic journals in universities.The role positioning of academic journals in universities is developing in twists and turns and growing in the adjustment of funding policies;The host university lacks sufficient support for academic journals,resulting in conflicts and contradictions between scientific research evaluation and journal construction,external"windows"and academic public"platforms"of the host university,and characteristic development and intensive and standardized management;The grassroots practice of academic journals in universities has shown poor results.Therefore,we should take the construction of"Double First Class"as an opportunity to promote the high-quality development of academic journals in universities and the positive interaction between"Double First Class"construction,actively build an ecological circle conducive to the high-quality development of academic journals in universities,and reshape the role positioning of academic journals in universities.On the top-level design,guide academic journals to deeply participate in the development direction of the"Double First Class"con-struction;In terms of middle-level support,strengthen the main responsibility of hosting universities to coordinate the develop-ment of academic journals and disciplines,promote the integration and development of academic communities,and build aca-demic communities;In grassroots innovation,enhance the disciplinary contribution and academic leadership of academic jour-nals in universities in supporting the practice of"Double First Class"construction.
