Legislation to improve the system of remuneration for prisoners'labor is necessary for the labor reform function of prisons and a concrete manifestation of the rule of law in prison management.The criminal labor remuneration system has legislative deficiencies,inconsistent implementation standards across regions,non-standard systems,and low legislative levels.The current system cannot meet the needs of labor reform work.Through the investigation of the labor remuneration system for prisoners in a women's prison in Yunnan,it was found that there were problems such as low labor remuneration,labor remuneration not reflecting labor results,and lack of legal basis.Suggestions were put forward to improve legislation and regulate the labor remuneration system,in order to improve the criminal labor remuneration system,mobilize the enthusiasm of prisoners for labor reform,and promote the development of the rule of law and standardization of the criminal labor remuneration system.
