Prison education is a necessary stage for criminals to return to society and transition from being"prison people"to being"social people".It plays a crucial role in consolidating the achievements of education and reform,preventing and reducing recidivism.On the basis of sorting out the development context of the education system for ex convicts,combined with specific practice,this paper analyzes the problems of weak systematicity,insufficient timeliness,insufficient completeness,and low precision in the current education system for ex convicts.It constructs a"five major work system"from the aspects of the connotation goals,work guarantee,organizational implementation,work assessment,and social docking of ex convicts,proposes countermeasures and implementation paths for the reform of the education system for ex convicts,provides useful references and suggestions for the reform of the education system for ex convicts,and promotes the improvement and development of China's education system for ex convicts.
