A Study on the Impact of New Citizens on Rural Revitalization under the Background of Common Prosperity
New citizens are a key link in the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy,and they are more closely linked in the new journey of Chinese path to modernization.By selecting Chinese urban development data from 2011 to 2019 and using the en-tropy method to construct comprehensive indicators of urban and rural revitalization,this study delves into the internal relationship and contributing mechanism between new citizens and rural revitalization.Analysis shows that,firstly,the growth of new citizens in various cities can significantly improve the level of rural revitalization,and there is a significant lag effect in promoting rural revitalization.Sec-ondly,there is a significant regional heterogeneity effect between the relationship between new citizens and rural revitalization,with a significant positive relationship in the eastern and central regions and a significant negative relationship in the western regions.Third,in regions where the level of rural revitalization is higher,the positive role of new citizens in rural revitalization is stronger,that is,the re-lationship between new citizens and rural revitalization has a positive feedback effect or Matthew effect.Therefore,in order to better play the positive role of new citizens in the rural revitalization strategy,it is necessary to help new citizens make career plans,vigorous-ly promote the rural revitalization strategy,solidly promote the construction of new urbanization,deepen the rural marketization reform,and enhance the willingness and ability of new citizens to return to their hometowns and build their own towns.
