The Spatial Effect of Digital-Intelligence Integration on Carbon Emission Performance—Taking the Three Major Urban Agglomerations along the Yangtze River Economic Belt as an Example
Based on the spatial panel data of the three major urban agglomerations along the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2011 to 2021,the spatial Dubin model is used to test the spatial effect of digital-intelligence integration on carbon emission perform-ance,and analyze the heterogeneity. The results show that:first, the digital-intelligence integration and carbon emission performance of the three major urban agglomerations along the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2011 to 2021 have spatial correlation and significant spatial spillover effect.Second, carbon emission performance has positive spatial spillover effect;digital-intelligence integration can not only significantly improve the local carbon emission performance, but also produce significant negative effect on neighboring carbon e-mission performance through spillover effect. In addition, foreign investment, human capital and government expenditure intensity all promote the carbon emission performance of the local region and the neighboring regions, while the level of financial development has a positive impact on the carbon emission performance of the local regions, but it has a negative impact on the neighboring regions.Third, the spatial effect of the influence of digital-intelligence integration development on carbon emission performance is heterogeneous. The effect of digital-intelligence integration in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration on carbon emission performance is significantly positive, and the carbon emission reduction effect of digital-intelligence integration is the best;the effect of digital-intelligence integra-tion on carbon emission performance in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River is negative but not significant, and the carbon emission reduction effect of digital-intelligence integration is the second most important;and the effect of digital-intelligence integration on car-bon emission performance in Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration is negative, and the carbon emission reduction effect of digital-intelligence integration is not fully released.Based on this, some policy suggestions are proposed to improve carbon emission perform-ance.
