Determination of the lower limit of physical properties for effective tight oil reservoirs:a case study of Es33 Ⅴ oil formation in Block G of Gaoshangpu Oilfield
The lower limit of effective reservoir physical properties is an important parameter for dividing res-ervoirs,determining effective thickness and calculating reserves. The Es33 Ⅴ oil formation in Block G of Gaoshangpu Oilfield is a near source quasi continuous tight sandstone reservoir. The uncertainty of reservoir parameters brings difficulties for subsequent development and the application of drilling and production tech-nology.Based on core analysis and production testing data, five methods were adopted, including oil bear-ing occurrence, empirical statistics, pore permeability relationship, minimum flow pore throat radius, and mercury injection parameter methods.Through the verification of phase permeability experiments and oil tes-ting and production, the lower limit of porosity and permeability in the area were determined to be 7.7%and 0.16×10-3 μm2.The research results can provide a basis for the production capacity calculation,res-ervoir evaluation, and development selection of tight oil reservoirs in Gaoshangpu Oilfield.
