Fine interpretation and reservoir control of low-sequence faults in Jiangjiadian area of Huimin Sag
Jiangjiadian Oilfield has complex geological structure and well-developed internal faults, which indicates that it still has great oil and gas exploration potential.Due to the development of numerous low-sequence faults with small fault intervals in the area, the identification and exploration are relatively low at present,it is necessary to study the fine-structural interpretation and the reservoir control. The area is characterized by three sets of low-sequence faults:northeast-southwest,nearly east-west,and north-south.Near the second and third level faults, the faults are distributed diagonally with the main faults, far away from the second and third level ones and showing different directions. Therefore, they can be identified by the method of coherent volume slice.Through structural interpretation, the accumulation model of this area is analyzed. There are mainly stratified reservoirs controlled by structure and structure-lithology reser-voirs.Besides,there are a few lenticular-lithologic reservoirs. The precise interpretation and reservoir control of low order faults are of great significance for the exploration and development of oil and gas.
