Application of dip logging data in gas reservoir evaluation of Lenghu area
There is a set of gas-bearing reservoirs mainly composed of Jurassic coal-measure source rocks in the piedmont zone of the northern margin of the Qaidam Basin, which are distributed in strips along the Lenghu structural belt and have become an important area of natural gas exploration. At present, researches of gas reservoirs in Lenghu area tend to focus on the evaluation of lithology and pore structure, and the rela-tionship between gas-bearing reservoirs and shallow slip fault is less.Using the interpretation and process-ing of stratigraphic dip angle data, four types of software are firstly compared for optimal processing parame-ters.After that, the relationship between gas-bearing reservoirs and the fault zone is defined by the combi-nation of seismic profile and well logging data. The results revealed that the concentrated section gas-bear-ing of display is mainly distributed in the footwall of the detachment fault zone, and the closer it is to the breakpoint position, the better its gas bearing characteristics, which proves the potential exploration of Leng-hu area and has achieved practical results.
