Application of azimuth gamma-ray imaging technology in geological steering of Longdong shale oil in Changqing Oilfield
With the large increase in the number of horizontal wells in Changqing Oilfield,it has become important to improve the drilling rate of the reservoir. The conventional MWD geological steering system has single measurement parameters, long blind zone and lagging formation response. Therefore,it is necessary to make clear the relative position relationship between the well trajectory and the formation, and timely de-tect the formation boundary and adjust the trajectory.By understanding the working principle, instrument performance, measurement parameters, and technical advantages of the near bit azimuth gamma-ray ima-ging system, the application of near bit azimuth gamma imaging technology can quickly identify lithological changes, determine the cutting relationship between wellbore trajectory and formation, identify thin inter-beds of sandstone and mudstone, and calculate formation dip angle. In the process of geological steering while drilling,it can provide the basis for trajectory adjustment, achieve early discovery, early adjustment, track the target zone, reduce the waste well interval, and effectively improve the drilling rate of the reser-voir.The field application shows that the reservoir encounter rate is as high as 96.6%after applying the near-bit azimuth gamma imaging logging technology in Huaxx well, and the application effect is good, which provides reliable technical support for the popularization and application of the near-bit azimuth gamma imaging instrument in Changqing Oilfield.
