Objective To investigate the relationship between serum kallikrein 6(KLK6)and adiponectin(APN)and cognitive dysfunction in patients with Parkinson's disease. Methods Totally 112 patients with Parkinson's disease in the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University were selected and divided into the occurrence group(Parkinson's disease with cognitive impairment group,44 cases)and the non-occurrence group(Parkinson's disease with normal cognitive function group,68 cases)according to the cognitive dysfunction. The levels of serum KLK6 and APN were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and the differences between the two groups were compared.Pearson correlation analysis,Logistic regression and ROC curve analysis were used for correlation, influencing factors and predictive value, respectively. Results Pearson correlation results showed that serum KLK6 and APN were negatively and positively correlated with MMSE score and MoCA score,respectively(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the long course of Parkinson's disease, the late revision of Hoehn-Yahr classification and the average high level of serum KLK6 were the risk factors for cognitive dysfunction in patients with Parkinson's disease, and the high level of serum APN was its protective factor(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve of the combined prediction of serum KLK6 and APN levels was 0.960,and the sensitivity and specificity was 90.91%and 89.71%,respectively(P<0.05).Conclusion In patients with Parkinson's disease complicated with cognitive dysfunction, serum KLK6 increases and APN decreases.Serum KLK6 and APN are not only related to cognitive function, but also are influencing factors for cognitive dysfunction in patients with Parkinson's disease. The combination of them has high clinical value in predicting cognitive dysfunction of Parkinson's disease.
