The Relationship between δ13 C Value and Biochemical Indicators in Different Tobacco Cultivars
In order to understand the relationships between tobacco leaf δ13C values and biochemical indicators, tobacco cultivars K326,Hongda,Yunyan87 and NC71 planted in natural environment in Dayingjie of Yuxi city in 2011.We investigated the difference of δ13C values,MDA,photosynthetic pigment,LMA and content of chemical compositions among different flue-cured tobacco varieties. The relationships of δ13C values with physiological and chemical indicators were studied as well. The results showed that:K326 had the biggest LMA.The content of chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b was the maximum. The total sugar content, reducing sugar content, the chlorine content and the potassium content were good for tobacoo quality. Both total nitrogen content, and sugar/nicotine ratio were in appropriate value range.(2) The δ13C values among the 4 varietise were ranged from-26.27‰ to-24.83‰.The order as follows:K326 > NC71 > Hongda > Yunyan87,Thus,δ13C values can be an indicator for ecological adaptation.According to the results of correlation analysis, the δ13C value was only highly significant positive correlated with nicotine (r =0.99,p < 0.01),and was not significant correlated with other physiological and chemical indicators (p > 0.01).
