The Application Value of Phaco+LOL Combined with TBL in the Treatment of Patients with Angle Closure Glaucoma and Cataract
[Objective]To explore the application value of phacoemulsification(Phaco)+LOL combined with trabeculectomy(TBL)in the treatment of patients with angle closure glaucoma complicated with cataract.[Methods]A total of 82 patients with angle closure glaucoma complicated with cataracts admitted to Tongren Aier Ophthalmolo-gy Hospital and Anhua Aier Ophthalmology Hospital from January 2021 to January 2024 were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,with 41 cases in each group,using a random number table method.Both groups received routine control of intraocular pressure treatment.The observation group received Phaco+LOL com-bined with TBL treatment simultaneously,while the control group received TBL treatment simultaneously.We com-pared the visual acuity,intraocular pressure,anterior chamber depth,and incidence of complications between two groups at preoperative,postoperative 3 days,postoperative 1 month,and 3 months.[Results]At 1 month and 3 months after surgery,the observation group had higher visual acuity than the control group,and lower intraocular pressure levels than the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).At 3 months after surger-y,the anterior chamber depth in the observation group was(2.43±0.20)mm,significantly higher than that in the control group(2.02±0.16)mm,with a statistically significant difference(t=10.50,P=0.000).There was no sta-tistically significant difference in the total incidence of complications between the two groups(P＞0.05).[Conclusion]The combination of Phaco+LOL and TBL can effectively reduce intraocular pressure and improve visual acuity in pa-tients with angle closure glaucoma complicated with cataracts.
