Observation of the Effects of Wrist-Ankle Acupuncture Combined with Ropivacaine and Sufentanil for Labor Analgesia
[Objective]To explore the effects of wrist-ankle acupuncture combined with ropivacaine and sufentanil for labor analgesia.[Methods]Ninety-four parturients undergoing vaginal delivery were randomly divided into two groups.The control group received analgesia with ropivacaine and sufentanil,while the observation group received additional wrist-ankle acupuncture.The analgesic effects,stress indicators,and other related conditions were compared between the two groups.[Results]At 1 hour,3 hours after intervention,and 1 hour postpartum,the Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores of both groups gradually decreased compared to before intervention,with statistically significant differences at different time points(P＜0.05).The observation group had lower VAS scores than the control group(P＜0.05).Postpartum,the serum levels of substance P(SP),cortisol(Cor),and neuropeptide Y(NPY)in both groups increased compared to before deliv-ery(P＜0.05),but were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).The first stage of labor and total labor time were shorter in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).At 1 hour,3 hours after intervention,and 1 hour postpartum,the mean arterial pressure(MAP)and heart rate(HR)of both groups decreased compared to before intervention(P＜0.05),and were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).After the intervention,the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale(EPDS)scores of both groups increased compared to before intervention(P＜0.05),but were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).[Conclusion]Wrist-ankle acupuncture combined with ropivacaine and sufentanil for labor analgesia can effectively enhance analgesic effects,stabilize hemodynamic levels,shorten the first stage of labor,reduce postpartum depression,and has good safety.
