Effect of MNA Concept 4I Nutritional Support Nursing on Elderly Heart Failure Patients
[Objective]To explore the effects of implementing MNA(mini nutritional assessment)concept 41(iden-tify,intervene,inspect,improve)nutritional support nursing in elderly heart failure patients.[Methods]A total of 96 elder-ly heart failure patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 48 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group received MNA concept 41 nutritional support nursing. The relevant indicators(including white blood cell level, urine pH,Na+level, blood glucose, total cho-lesterol,and weight)were compared before and after the intervention, along with nutritional support status[measured by the Patient-generated Subjective Global Assessment(PG-SGA)score]and cardiac function[left ventricular ejection frac-tion(LVEF),brain natriuretic peptide(BNP),and N-terminal pro B type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)].[Results]After the intervention, the observation group showed higher level of white blood cell, urine pH,and Na 1,and lower lev-el of blood glucose, total cholesterol, and weight compared to the control group(P<0.05).The PG-SGA score and LVEF level in the observation group were higher, while BNP and NT-proBNP levels were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).[Conclusion]Implementing MNA concept 41 nutritional support nursing in elderly heart failure patients can improve the patient's physical condition and nutritional support effectiveness.
