Application of Comprehensive Enteral Nutrition Intervention Based on Timing Selection in In-tensive Care Unit
[Objective]To explore the application of comprehensive enteral nutrition(EN)intervention based on timing selection for patients in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU).[Methods]A total of 106 ICU patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 53 patients in each group. The con-trol group received routine EN care, while the observation group implemented a comprehensive EN interven-tion based on timing selection. The serum prealbumin(PA),albumin(ALB),serum potassium, sleep quali-ty,feeding intolerance rate, and refeeding syndrome incidence were compared before and after the intervention between the two groups.[Results]After the intervention, the levels of ALB,PA,and serum potassium in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group. The feeding intolerance rate and refeeding syndrome incidence in the observation group were both lower than those in the control group.Addi-tionally,the sleep quality index scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).[Conclusion]Comprehensive EN intervention based on timing selection can significantly improve biochemical indicators and sleep quality in ICU patients while reduc-ing the rates of feeding intolerance and refeeding syndrome.
