Effect of Tele-rehabilitation Intervention in Swallowing Function and Daily Living Ability of Stroke Patients with Dysphagia
Objective To investigate the effects of tele-rehabilitation on swallowing function and daily living ability of stroke patients with dysphagia. Methods A total of 64 stroke patients with dysphagia who were about to go home after systematic rehabilitation were selected and divided into control group and study group by random number table method, with 32 cases in each group. The control group was given routine telephone follow-up and outpatient follow-up,while the study group was treated with tele-rehabilitation.Standardized swallowing assessment(SSA)scores, adverse event rates, and modified Barthel index(MBI)scores were compared before discharge and 8 weeks after discharge. Results Compared with before discharge,SSA score and MBI score of two groups were improved at 8 weeks after discharge(P<0.05).Eight weeks after discharge, the SSA score of the study group was lower than that of the control group, the incidence of adverse events was lower than that of the control group, and the MBI score was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Tele-rehabilitation can better improve the swallowing function of stroke patients with dysphagia after discharge, reduce the incidence of adverse events, and improve their daily living ability.
