Therapeutic Effect of Qingxin Shugan Formula Combined with Meridian Flowing Needle Technique on Post Stroke Liver Qi Stagnation Type Depression
Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of Qingxin Shugan formula combined with meridian flowing needle technique in the treatment of depression caused by liver Qi stagnation after stroke. Methods This study was a prospective study, which included 90 patients with liver Qi stagnation type depression after stroke admitted to Nanyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2019 to July 2022.According to the random number table method, they were divided into two groups with 45 cases in each group. Both groups of patients were treated with fluoxetine hydrochloride capsules. On this basis, the control group was treated with meridian flowing needle technique, while the study group was treated with Qingxin Shugan formula on the basis of the control group. Before and after treatment, the Hamilton depression scale(HMAD)was used to evaluate the degree of depression in patients, the stroke specific quality of life scale(SS-QOL)was used to evaluate the quality of life of patients, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of patients were evaluated, and the incidence of adverse reactions(dizziness, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, drowsiness)during treatment was counted. Results After treatment, the HAMD score and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of the two groups of patients decreased compared to before treatment, and the study group was lower than the control group, and the SS-QOL scores of both groups of patients improved compared to before treatment, and the study group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).During the treatment, the total incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was lower than that in the control group, but there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of Qingxin Shugan formula and meridian flowing needle technique can improve the clinical symptoms, reduce depression levels, and improve quality of life in patients with liver Qi stagnation depression after stroke.
