Application Effect of Comprehensive Nursing Under the Guidance of Symptom Management Theory in Patients After Thyroid Cancer Surgery
Objective To explore the application effect of comprehensive nursing under the guidance of symptom management theory in patients after thyroid cancer surgery.Methods A total of 102 patients with thyroid cancer treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University He Hospital from June 2021 to March 2023 were selected and divided into study group(51 cases)and routine group(51 cases)according to nursing methods.The routine group received conventional nursing intervention,while the study group received comprehensive nursing under the guidance of symptom management theory on the basis of the routine group.The two groups were compared with voice disturbance[voice handicap index(VHI)],negative mood[self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)],self-care ability[exercise of self-care agency scale(ESCA)],cancer-related fatigue[Piper fatigue scale(PFS)],complications,quality of life[quality of life questionnaire core 30(QLQ-C30)].Results The functional,physiological,emotional scores and VHI total score of the study group were lower than those of the routine group after intervention(P<0.05).After intervention,the SAS,SDS,PFS and QLQ-C30 scores in the study group were lower than those in the routine group(P<0.05).After intervention,the ESCA score in the study group was higher than that in the routine group(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the routine group(P<0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive care under the guidance of symptom management theory can improve patients'voice disorders,negative emotions,alleviate cancer-related fatigue,enhance patients'self-care ability,prevent complications,and improve patients'quality of life.
