Effect of Fear of Disease Progression on Self-management Intention in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease
Objective To investigate the status quo of fear disease progression and self-management intention in patients with coronary heart disease,and to analyze the influence of fear disease progression on self-management intention and its factors.Methods A total of 256 patients with coronary heart disease admitted to the Department of Cardiology,Huaihe Hospital of Henan University were investigated by means of the general data questionnaire,fear disease progression scale and self-management intention questionnaire.Multiple stepwise regression was used to analyze the multi-factor analysis of self-management intention and the correlation between the progression of fear disease and self-management intention.Results The total score of self-management intention in patients with coronary heart disease was(82.02±9.68)points.The results of multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that gender,ratio of medical expenses to income,family history,fear of disease progression were the influencing factors of self-management intention in patients with coronary heart disease(P<0.001).Conclusion Patients with coronary heart disease have high fear of disease progression score and low self-management intention.Medical staff should implement effective personalized psychological intervention to stimulate patients'enthusiasm for effective self-management,and encourage patients to actively participate in disease management and effectively implement self-management.
