Effect of Nasal Septum Deviation Correction via Intranasal Incision Mucosa Approach on Patients with Nasal Septum Deviation
Objective To explore the effect of nasal septum deviation correction via intranasal mucosal incision on the ventilation function of patients with nasal septum deviation, and to provide experience for improving the ventilation function of patients with nasal septum deviation. Methods From July 2020 to July 2022,72 patients who were admitted to the Department of Otolaryngology of the 7th People's Hospital of Zhengzhou and planned to undergo correction of nasal septum deviation were prospectively selected as the research objects. They were randomly divided into the study group and the control group, with 36 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were treated with routine nasal septum deviation correction via the outer diameter approach, and the patients in the study group were treated with nasal septum deviation correction via intranasal incision mucosa approach. The patients in both groups were followed up for 3 months after surgery. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared at 3 months after operation. The changes of ventilation function(nasal resistance, nasal acoustic reflex)and postoperative complications were compared before and 3 months after operation. Results Three months after surgery, the total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Three months after surgery, the nasal volume and minimum cross-sectional area of the two groups increased compared to before surgery, and the study group was larger than the control group(P<0.05).The distance from the minimum cross section to the anterior nares and nasal resistance parameters of the two groups were lower than those before surgery, and the study group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistical significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The treatment of nasal septum deviation by intranasal incision mucosa approach is effective and safe, which can improve the ventilation function of patients with nasal septum deviation.
