Application Effect of ADOPT Mode Nursing Intervention in Patients After Radical Prostatectomy for Prostate Cancer
Objective To exploring the application effect of nursing intervention under the attitude definition open thinking plan implementation(ADOPT)model in patients after radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer. Methods One hundred and twenty-nine patients with prostate cancer treated in Zhumadian Central Hospital from April 2019 to July 2021 were randomly divided into control group(64 cases, routine nursing)and intervention group(65 cases, nursing mode under routine care and ADOPT mode),and both groups continued to intervene until the patients were discharged.Self-care ability[exercise of self-care agency scale(ESCA)],quality of life[quality of life questionnaire-prostate cancer 25(QLQ-PR25)]and psychological status[self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)]were compared between the two groups before and after intervention, and the incidence of urinary incontinence was counted. Results After the intervention, the scores of each dimension of ESCA in the two groups were lower than those before the intervention, and even lower in the intervention group(P<0.05).After the intervention, the scores of QLQ-PR25 in both groups were higher than those before the intervention, and the scores in the intervention group were higher(P<0.05).After the intervention, the scores of SAS and SDS in the two groups were lower than those before the intervention, and even lower in the intervention group(P<0.05).The incidence of urinary incontinence in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Nursing under ADOPT mode can improve the self-care ability of patients after radical prostatectomy, improve their quality of life and psychological status, and reduce the incidence of urinary incontinence.
