Analysis of Patent Management Status and Countermeasures of a Teriary Hospital
Objective To understand the patent application and authorization status of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from 2013 to 2022,identify problems in patent management,and explore countermeasures.Methods The hospital's patent data from 2013 to 2022 were collected,and the patent application and authorization status,distribution of authorized patent types,patent technology fields,effectiveness and conversion were analyzed.Results From 2013 to 2022,the hospital applied for a total of 5 145 patents and was granted 3 385 patents.The number of applications and authorizations continued to increase from 2013 to 2016,grew rapidly from 2016 to 2019,peaked in 2020,and then declined.The proportion of invention patents granted was relatively low,while the proportion of utility model patents was relatively high.Invalid patents accounted for 31.99％of the total number of authorized patents,and the patent conversion rate was low.Conclusion Although the hospital has a large number of patent applications,the proportion of high-quality patent applications was low,and the overall trend was not optimistic.It is suggested to establish a sound patent management system,increase funding support,improve reward system,strengthen the construction of patent management personnel,establish a high value patent cultivation system and improve the patent conversion platform.
