Effect of Enteral Nutrition Support Based on the Concept of Rapid Rehabilitation on the Nutritional Status of Postoperative Patients with Esophageal Cancer
Objective To analyze the impact of enteral nutrition support based on the concept of rapid recovery on the postoperative nutritional status of patients with esophageal cancer(EC).Methods A total of 78 postoperative EC patients admitted to Henan Provincial Chest Hospital from June 2021 to June 2022 were randomly divided into a study group and a conventional group, with 39 cases in each group. The conventional group received enteral nutrition support based on conventional nursing concepts, while the research group received enteral nutrition support based on rapid recovery concepts. The perioperative period(first defecation, first defecation, getting out of bed activity, hospitalization)time, nutritional status[body weight(BW),body mass index(BMI),hemoglobin(Hb),albumin(Alb)]levels, immune function[immunoglobulin G(IgG),immunoglobulin M(IgM),immunoglobulin A(IgA)]levels, complications and health survey scale(SF-36)scores were compared between two groups. Results Compared to the conventional group, the study group had shorter first exhaust time, first bowel movement time, days of getting out of bed activity and length of hospital stay(P<0.05).After intervention, the levels of BW,BMI,Hb,and Alb in the study group were higher than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).After intervention, the levels of IgG,IgM,and IgA in the study group were higher than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group[5.13%(2/39)]was lower than that in the control group[23.08%(9/39)](P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of physiological function, physiological function, and emotional function in the study group were higher than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion Providing enteral nutrition support based on the concept of rapid recovery to EC patients after surgery can accelerate body recovery, improve immune function and nutritional status, reduce complications and improve quality of life.
