Effect of Supraglottoplasty Under Low Temperature Plasma in the Treatment of Infantile Laryngomalacia
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of supraglottoplasty under low temperature plasma in infantile with laryngomalacia and its influence on infantile immune function. Methods A total of 55 infant with severe laryngomalacia in Children's Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University from June 2018 to February 2022 were selected, with a birth time of 30 to 317 days. They were divided into plasma group and control group according to the choice of treatment methods.Patients in plasma group received supraglottoplasty under low temperature plasma, while patients in control group refused surgery and request conservative treatment,30 in plasma group and 25 in control group. The postoperative curative effect of the two groups of infant were observed and recorded. The contents of serum IgG,IgM and complement C3 and C4 in both groups of infant were detected, and conducted statistical analysis. Results One month after surgery,22 infant in the plasma group were cured, the cure rate was 73.3%,while 0 in the control group.Three months after surgery,29 infant in the plasma group were cured, the cure rate was 96.7%.While 2 newborn in the control group were cured, the cure rate was 8%,the remaining 92%of infant chose surgical treatment three months later. The cure rate of the plasma group was higher than that of the control group at 1 and 3 months after surgery(P<0.01).One month after surgery, the contents of serum IgG and complement C3 and C4 in plasma group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Supraglottoplasty under low temperature plasma is effective in the treatment of infantile laryngomalacia and can improve the immune dysfunction status of infant.
