Performance Evaluation of Serological Testing and Genotyping in ABO Difficult Blood Group Identification
Objective To analyze the application of serological testing and genotyping in ABO difficult blood group identification. Methods Serological testing(absorption and diffusion test)was performed on 106 cases of ABO difficult blood types, and genotyping testing(fluorescence quantitative PCR test)was performed on them.Using the results of gene sequencing as the gold standard, the consistency between the results of serological testing and genotyping and gene sequencing was evaluated, and the sensitivity and specificity of the two methods were compared. Results Using gene sequencing as the gold standard, the consistency of serological test results was moderate, and the consistency of genotyping test results was very good.By comparing the sensitivity and specificity of serological testing and genotyping, the differences of specificity and sensitivity between the two methods were statistically significant, and the genotyping sensitivity and specificity were higher(P<0.05).Conclusion Genotyping testing and serological testing have their respective advantages and disadvantages, but overall, genotyping testing has higher accuracy and reliability,is faster, more efficient, and more cost-effective.
