Application of Comprehensive Airway Nursing in Patients with Respiratory Failure Under Iceberg Theory
Objective To explore the application value of all-round airway care under iceberg theory in patients with respiratory failure. Methods A total of 118 patients with respiratory failure treated in Nanyang First People's Hospital from March 2020 to August 2021 were selected and divided into study group(59 cases)and control group(59 cases)according to different nursing methods. The control group was given conventional nursing interventions, and the study group was given comprehensive airway care under the iceberg theory on the basis of the control group, comparing the rehabilitation-related indexes, pulmonary function[total lung capacity(TLC),forced vital capacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1)],nursing compliance, negative emotions[anxiety self-assessment scale(SAS),depression self-assessment scale(SDS)],and complications between the two groups. Results The study group had shorter human-machine coordination time, mechanical ventilation time, and discharge time compared to the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the FEV1,FVC,and TLC in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the SAS and SDS scores of the study group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the total compliance rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the total incidence of complications was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Under the iceberg theory,all-round airway nursing can improve the lung function of patients with Respiratory failure, reduce negative emotions, improve compliance, prevent complications, and promote the recovery of patients.
