Analysis of Clinical Features of Pediatric Acute Pancreatitis and Risk Factors for Severe Disease
Objective To investigate the clinical features of pediatric acute pancreatitis(AP)and risk factors of severe disease. Methods A total of 72 AP children who were admitted to Children's Hospital affiliated to Zhengzhou University from January 2021 to June 2022 were included into this study.According to NASPGHAN guides for AP classification standards, they were divided into mild AP group(41 cases)and severe AP group(31 cases),severe AP group included moderate severe AP and severe AP.The general clinical data, laboratory test results, complications, treatment methods and other information of the patients were collected through medical record retrieval, and logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors for severe AP.Results There were statistical differences in gender,etiological-composition ratio,C-reactive protein, serum albumin, serum urea nitrogen and serum Ca2+between the mild group and severe group(P<0.05).High blood urea nitrogen(OR=1.312,95%CI:1.007-1.710,P=0.045)and low albumin(OR=0.876,95%CI:0.794-0.967,P=0.009)at admission were independent risk factors for moderate and severe AP.Conclusion Focusing on the etiology of AP and early monitoring of blood urea nitrogen and albumin levels are conducive to clinical treatment and disease assessment.
