Effects of Focal Subtraction and Total Subtraction on the Image Quality and Radiation Dose of Head and Neck CT Angiography
Objective To investigate the effects of focal subtraction and total subtraction on the image quality and radiation dose of head and neck CT angiography(CTA).Methods Ninety patients with suspected cerebral aneurysm or cerebral infarction admitted the hospital from August 2022 to April 2023 were selected and divided into group A and group B by scanning range.Group A(45 cases)were local subtraction group and group B(45 cases)were total subtraction group, and the images were classified into excellent, good and poor by image quality score, and the image quality and the radiation dose of two groups were compared. Results Minus images were obtained in both groups, and the images could meet the clinical diagnosis requirements, and there was no statistical difference between the image quality of the two groups(x2=0.295,P>0.05).The dose of the images of group A was lower than that in group B(t=6.834,P=0.041).Conclusion The local subtraction method can ensure the image quality, and reduce the radiation dose.
