Expression and Clinical Significance of γ-Glutamyl Transferase/Platelet in Patients with Decompensated Hepatitis B Cirrhosis
Objective To observe the expression of γ-glutamyl transferase(GGT)/platelet(PLT)in patients with decompensated hepatitis B cirrhosis and explore its clinical significance. Methods The clinical data of 65 patients with decompensated hepatitis B cirrhosis in Shangqiu Center Hospital from January 2019 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients completed relevant examinations upon admission, including Child-Pugh grading assessment, serum GGT,PLT,and GGT/PLT testing. All patients were given symptomatic comprehensive treatment and completed a 6-month follow-up.The serum GGT,PLT and GGT/PLT levels of patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis decompensated at different Child-Pugh grades were compared, and the correlation between serum GGT,PLT and GGT/PLT levels and Child-Pugh grades was explored. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to analyze the predictive value of serum GGT,PLT,GGT/PLT in the short-term prognosis of patients with decompensated hepatitis B cirrhosis. Results Among 65 patients with decompensated cirrhosis of hepatitis B,38 were Child-Pugh B,27 were Child-Pugh C,42 patients survived and 23 died during follow-up.GGT and GGT/PLT in Child-Pugh C grade patients were higher than those in Child-Pugh B grade patients, while PLT was lower than those in Child-Pugh B grade patients(P<0.05).According to Kendall's tau-b correlation coefficient test,GGT,GGT/PLT were positively correlated with Child-Pugh grading(r>0,P<0.05),while PLT was negatively correlated with Child-Pugh grading(r<0,P<0.05).The GGT and GGT/PLT levels of died patients were higher than those of surviving patients at admission, while PLT levels were lower than those of surviving patients(P<0.05).The ROC curve was drawn, and the results showed that serum GGT,PLT,GGT/PLT predicted AUC≥0.7 in the short-term prognosis of patients with decompensated hepatitis B cirrhosis, which had certain predictive value. Conclusion GGT/PLT is positively correlated with Child-Pugh grade in patients with decompensated cirrhosis of hepatitis B,and early detection of GGT/PLT level can be used to predict the short-term adverse prognosis risk of patients.
